We are looking for…

To strengthen our Operations Department in Laketricity USA, we are looking for a Head of Solar Technology & Operations in permanent employment contract, based with the team in Petaluma, CA. Ideally, the position would start as soon as possible.

Your role within the company

As a real leader and guarantor of the global technical support and projects execution of Laketricity USA, from prospection to the proper design & implementation of PV solar power plants, you will report to the Managing Director of Laketricity USA, and you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Establish and manage strong technical/execution teams with all adequate skills required (Structural, Electrical, Floating, Storage…) adapted to US market needs;
  • Establish and promote Laketricity technical expertise in front of external stakeholders (Co-developers, landowners, network managers, regulatory bodies, insurers, residents, consultants, investors etc.);
  • Promote knowledge sharing between the subsidiaries to increase overall expertise;
  • Establish & follow technical and Project Execution staff recruitment plan including onboarding and continuous training of staff;
  • Global project budgeting for “technical /execution” BP needs/ cash flow requirements.

Your missions as Head of Solar Technology & Operations

Your assignment will include some or all of the following activities:

Development/Project Management

  • Coordinate technical teams for site origination support in close relation with Head of Development;
  • Supervise response to Technical DD request on projects RFPs;
  • Coordinate all activities at Advanced Stage (Detailed Engineering, Surveys, Interconnection, Permitting) up to RTB.

Project Execution

  • Build Procurement capability within Laketricity USA and supervise Procurement Activities;
  • Coordinate Construction management activities;
  • Understand and optimize the federal & state solar & BESS incentive program guidelines and other incentive programs for each project.

Your profile

Your academic & professional background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in solar industry. BESS experience would be a plus.
• The following are preferred but are not necessary: Prior experience working within a solar development or EPC company in the US.

Hard skills: technical skills expected

• Strong Project Management skills. Experience in project Management with various project stakeholders from municipalities, to engineering consultants, vendors and EPCs.
• Experience in solar/BESS engineering and construction. NABCEP Certification is a plus.
• The following are preferred but are not necessary:
o Knowledge of PV & ESS project construction, systems, market conditions and trade practices
o Awareness of relevant codes, standards, construction practices and engineering principles required to construct a renewable energy plant
