Kagawa Prefecture is a region where floating solar power generation is thriving, and the local community has been interested in renewable energy for several years.
This pond is operated by the local Water Users Association and owned by Takamatsu City.
In response to a request for the construction of a power plant from the local water users association, the power plant was constructed through an agreement between Takamatsu City, the local land improvement district, and the local water users association.
The president of the local water users association is a former city mayor, and he enthusiastically cooperated with this initiative.
