Homepage | Our projects | Saiko Ike

Saiko Ike is located in the mountainous area of central Hyogo Prefecture and has very clean water. The pond is owned by the Land Improvement District and managed by a local farmer’s association.

Floating solar power is very popular in this area and is installed on six different ponds, including Saiko Ike, in this Land Improvement District. The pond owners improved their financial resources while maintaining existing activities on site. They were attracted by floating solar power plants development from early on, and Saiko Ike is actually the final project developped in this area. All these facilities contribute directly to reducing the local carbon footprint.

The electricity is provided to KANSAI Electric Power Company under FIT (Feed-In Tariff) scheme.
