Independent and participative financing

Now that development project has been validated, it’s time to find the financing to build your floating solar power plant. At this stage too, Laketricity is by our side to support you.

Our financing philosophy is based on sharing and social innovation, so that the benefits of a project are passed on to its immediate environment. To achieve this, we use participative fund-raising or opening capital to local players.

Financing with Laketricity means…

During project development, and right up to the construction of the power plant, we provide, at our own expense, risk-free and without any counterparty for the owner, all the financing via various levers:

  • Equity: our solvency, inherited from long management experience, enables us to carry the necessary funds for studies, administrative and connection fees, as well as construction.
  • Bank debt: since the creation of our parent company, Ciel & Terre, in 2006, we have built up trustworthy relationships with public and private banking institutions. These give us access to innovative financing linked to the energy transition.
  • Crowdfunding: we regularly open up our projects to campaigns for private individuals, by issuing bonds or taking equity stakes. These campaigns can be geared and limited to a well-defined geographical area so that they directly benefit the region concerned by the project.
